With a passion for public speaking, I have honed my skills to deliver engaging and impactful presentations. I have had the privilege of speaking at various conferences, seminars, and events, sharing my insights and experiences on various topics such as Ubuntu, The Power of African Story Telling, African Heritage related presentations as well as insights on my work as an Afrocentric EDIA advocate and community engagement practitioner. My goal is to leave a lasting impression on my audience, igniting their imagination and empowering them to embrace change and growth. African Storytelling, in particular, holds a special place in my heart. Since olden times, storytelling within the African culture has been a way of passing on traditions, codes, values of acceptable behavior, as well as upholding and preserving good social order. These stories offer explanations of natural phenomena, teach morality, provide African people with a sense of identity, and are entertaining as well as instructive. There is an African proverb which says "when an old person dies, a library is burned with them" I believe that stories have the power to shape our perspectives, challenge our assumptions, and evoke empathy. By crafting narratives that resonate with the human experience, I aim to create meaningful connections that transcend boundaries and foster a sense of shared understanding.
